Stuff from John Moss

Just another WordPress weblog

A few photos from our trip to Bognor Regis in January this year. The coke can is straight from the camera, but cropped. The second is of a tractor on the beach. This photo is cropped and has levels of brightness and contrast adjusted. The software used was “The Gimp” for Linux. The third is a panoramic shot stitched together using “Hugin” for Linux, taken from the multi storey car park.

A picture of Malaga Cathedral taken last week.

Panoramic view of the new Malaga Harbour

I took around 5 or more pictures, and used software called “Hugin” running on my Linux system to do all the work stitching the photo together. Click on images to make larger.

The next few days you can listen to Mark Steel, with his show about Basingstoke !! You can listen here .

Still here

Still enjoying having WordPress, but have little to write about !!

I have uploaded a selection of photos from our holiday a couple of weeks ago. We went to many places including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Austria, Switzerland and France. My favourite was probably Mount Pilatus. The locals there probably spend many happy hours there. I love the driving too. It was made very easy with nice roads, and my three SAT NAV’s. One TomTom, one mobile phone, and one human. Anyway, hope you enjoy the album ! Click here.

Broken things.

For some reason I am interested in a Smart Car for my next car. As I have taken an interest, I have read that the engines on the 600 cc model only last 50000 – 60000 miles, yet looking on the Autotrader website, these little cars still get valued at £1000 or more even with high mileage or engine problems. Yet it seems people are willing to pay lots for something with problems. Interesting.

Ryanair landing

Here is a clip with the new camera coming to the end of our flight from Bournemouth Airport landing at Malaga Airport, Spain.

I was hoping to upload some photos and videos to this ‘blog’ of last weeks events, but I am having troubles. It’s all new to me. I am trying to find a photo album creator, where I can simply upload a batch of photos, and make them easy for people to view.

I had better start ‘googling’ to see what other people are doing.

Well its been about 3 years since I have done anything serious to my webspace. My last websites were designed with Dreamweaver and I think I was a Microsoft Windows user too back then. Now, I have taken the easy option, skipping website design and installed WordPress. It is all new to me, so I will play around to see what I can do with it.
